Initial impressions with the Burson V6 Vivid opamp installed in place of the LM4552NA exhibited a much clearer instrument separation and a more open soundstage. It also made bass extensions deeper and and punches more concise and impactful. Graininess that was present in higher frequencies also smoothed out and presented a less sibilant/abrasive yet sparkly high. Though the recording / processing flaws become more highlighted and apparent, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, for those who seek audio cuisines that are made to perfection per recipe and not over seasoned bastardizations.
