For my “small, second rig” an analogue upgrade was required to the excellent otherwise NAD PP2. The V6 did broaden the soundstage (and pushed it back, which was desirable) and provided detail, enhanced frequency response, very balanced, full and tight towards the low end. In remarkable synergy with the iFi iTube2, they literally doubled the size of the presentation. It is very friendly with the analogue sound of vinyl records playback. I did bridge pins 4&8 with a 0.1uFMKP capacitor after 100 of burn-in, but the 220uF electrolytic capacitors that the PP2 was furnished with, were of excellent quality and they remained. The distance between the board and the ceiling of the phono stage is exactly 30mm, so this was a snug fit. The film capacitor was soldered underneath the board.
