I have tried and have multiple Brands, to include Solid state, Tube and Hybrids with multiple different Dac chip brands. For me the quality of Burson products, are extremely high and surpasses the quality of other manufacturers, near or at even higher price points. Their Opamps work and allow the user to tune the actual sound the customer hears.

I definitely enjoy my Burson products. I purchased the playmate 2 because of its smaller size, for traveling. It has power, and still follows what I consider the Burson signature sound and keeps the Burson quality intact.
I upgraded to the V6 Opamps and consider it worth the cost. However the Playmate 2 was good with the factory installed Opamps, I prefer the sound details and signature sound the V6 Opamps offer.
