Here’s a pretty good photo of my ASUS Essence STXII sound card with Burson op-amps installed. The sound is, of course, amazing. Crisp, clear, detailed. I highly recommend these discrete op-amps.

Hi Max, both our V5 and V5i will be the perfect fit for the Essence STXII. :) The V5i is the perfect option if space is a concern.
are those op amps x3 dual versions or x3 singles, because i want to make sure i order the right op amps
You will need 3 dual opamps for the STX2 sound card.
how much of a step up are those burson v5’s over the stock MUSES8920’s and MUSES8820, what are the audible differences?

The MUSE range of opamp tend to be more on the warm and tube like sound (I think it is what they intend to do) the V5 offer a more neutral and higher resolution playback. Often you can hear more detail from the V5 upgrade.
