Overall, I’m totally floored by such a small compact unit. There’s a lot of control over the whole audio spectrum, especially bass. Not to mention the amount of power this thing puts out. But, I won’t blab on about things you already know :) I now know why members at head-fi meets would always respond “Yes it is” with a big smile when I would ask “is that a Burson?”
I was planning on keeping my soloist as a desktop unit, away from my main headphone rig (which is balanced). I simply cannot believe how clean and controlled this unit sounds, as you can see, it’s found a sitting spot in the main headphone rig.
