The Burson Conductor is connected the following way: MacPro>Conductor>WA6-SE>sub-woofer>speakers. I am using the internal DAC of the Burson for the WA6-SE tube amp. The sound quality is excellent both via the external speakers and my headphones (Audeze LCD-2 and Grado PS-500).
Had some friends over and they were just amazed at what your unit was able to produce. This compact very well built 3-in-1 unit consisting of headphone, DAC and pre-amp is just what I needed for my audio system.
