I have a PI-100 and a PP-100 amp. The rest of my gear is Cayin CD17 and Dynaudio Focus 220. The Cayin CD17 has been tweaked with Burson discrete OP-Amps and new NOS Tubes. I have also changed several capacitors.

The crossover in Dynaudio Focus 220 have been tweaked with Mills resistors and capacitors from Sonicap. All cables are from Kimber.

Source-       Slim Devices Squeezebox 3, anolog mods completed by Red Wine Audio
Amp-           DIY, 41hz Amp4 (30 wpc) powered by SLA batteries (2 5ah batts in series when driving the amp, parallel when charging)
Speakers-    DIY, Hawthorne Audio Silver Iris Coax and Augie on OB (Open Baffle)

The SB3 feeds the Amp4 directly (soon to be connected through the Burson Buffer) using the built in volume control of the Squeezebox.  The SB3 is currently running as a wired unit however I have run it wirelessly, the sound is about the same but fewer dropouts occur (intermittent dropouts occurred wirelessly due to interference with the phone and microwave).  It is powered by a Hosfelt 1.5 amp linear power supply.

I previously had an Eastern Electric Minimax Preamp in the system but removed it once I determined I enjoyed the sound more with the SB3 feeding the amps directly.

The Hawthorne Silver Iris speakers sound excellent, the Amp4 drives them effortlessly.  The bass units will ultimately be physically decoupled from the rest of the speaker ensuring minimal baffle vibration.  The Augie bass units are driven in a mono configration by a subwoofer plate amp.  The plate amp is oupled to the system via the amplified output of the Amp4 from its speaker binding post.  Both drivers are magnet mounted.  These are still a work in progress, however they are nearing completion.

The Amp4 is a kit build unit from 41hz audio.  It is based on the Tripath TK2050 chipset.  It is powered by 2 12VDC, 5ah SLA Batteries.  The coupling caps are Jenson Copper Foil PIOs.  It utilizes Cardas Rhodium RCAs and Binding Posts.

Miscellaneous:  There is some DIY acoustic treatment in the corners, on the front and rear walls, as well as at the 1st reflection points.  The stereo rack houses receptacles (for battery charger and Augie plate amp) and the plate amp used to power the Augie bass units in a mono configuration.  The ribbon speaker wire is DIY from a foil inductor and poly tubing, it connects the Augies to the plate amp.  The white speaker wire connects the coaxs to the Amp4, it is solid conductor (approximately 16 awg) with cotton insulation and is said to be from the 1930s/40s.
